This retired couple had very definitive ideas about the style and elegance that they wanted their bathroom to exude. Their home accommodates their needs from a universal design perspective, but the bathroom was very dated and plain. Having the available space to allow for separate vanities was a big plus.

The shower is, of course, the focal point of the room. It replaced an old whirlpool tub and has ample space. The window is a nice feature, allowing plenty of natural light into the room while affording privacy at the same time. The etched glass shower door affords additional privacy as well. An electric floor warming system is always a welcome luxury in a bathroom, which this one has. The tile has a Cararra marble appearance, but is actually porcelain and much easier to work with and maintain.
