BackCelebrating Women in Construction

This week is dedicated to celebrating women in construction because even though the percentage of men working in the industry far outweighs the percentage of women, women fill many critical roles and positions in construction and remodeling businesses.

Did you know? In 2015, roughly 1.3 percent of the entire U.S. workforce was made up of women working in construction (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). In 2016, the total number of women in the industry reached 939,000, or nine percent of the entire construction industry.

We want to celebrate and highlight the promotion of one of our oldest team members, Katy Dodd. Katy was recently promoted to Principal of Wineteer Construction and is focused on solidifying relationships with our clients, vendors and business partners. Due to her extensive industry knowledge, she provides a fresh perspective to our team of experts.
