This deck was installed in 2005 to replace a rotting CCA version. The ranch style house occupies a corner lot that wraps around roughly ninety degrees, creating a lovely and private back yard. The deck conforms to a magnificent Koi pond with an elaborate waterfall.

The entire structure was removed and replaced with Ipe material, better known as Brazilian Walnut, a tropical hardwood species known for its resistance to water. Not only has the material held up, it looks as good today with an annual coat of preservative as the day it was installed. We have used the same material at commercial installations in water parks that receive heavy use.
