BackEmployee Spotlight – Craig Crook12/10/21

Craig Crook provides incredible support to the production and construction aspect of our remodeling projects.

Recently, we connected with him to learn more about him and his role. Check out our conversation below.

Tell us about your current role with Wineteer Construction.
I am Co-owner and head of field operations. I enjoy working with my hands and interacting with clients. So I am out everyday helping with each project, talking with our clients, and making sure we provide the best service possible.

What is your favorite part of being part of the Wineteer team?
I really enjoy building diverse projects. It is fascinating to see how the original architecture of a turn of the century home plays its role in a new kitchen. Likewise, it is equally fascinating to see how a client’s personality shines through in our work. Understanding the needs of our clients and their end goals is what makes a project great!

What motivates you about your focus with Wineteer?
I’ve always been an entrepreneurial person. I enjoy the various facets of business while striving to meet the goals of the client and the business. A healthy business is good for our employees and our clients, and it keeps me busy!

What surprises you about your work at Wineteer?
After 47 years of working in construction and remodeling, I’m still learning new things. There is always a new product, technology or installation method we can incorporate into our daily designs and construction. There are also many things that have been lost over the years. Sometimes you are lucky enough to meet someone that might just reveal one of those lost tricks.

Do you have any favorite projects completed by Wineteer that come to mind? Why are they your favorite?
It would probably be the room additions. It is always a challenge to create new architecture that blends with the old architecture; however, it is also what is most pleasing. When a new room addition looks like it was seamlessly built with the original house, it creates the gratification of a job well done.

Who, or what inspires you?
Satisfied customers are definitely an inspiration. Clients who genuinely enjoy you working with them to create an outstanding experience.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
It doesn’t pay off in the long run to stress about the little things. Your years of experience and knowledge work things out every time.

What is your favorite quote?
You can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time!

Craig, thank you for your energy, talent and support. We are grateful for all you do!
