BackLoose Park Wine Cellar03/11/20

This is the gold standard of wine cellars. It is in the basement of an old home and served as the home’s coal storage area in its early years. When the home was converted to forced air heating and cooling in the 1960s, the space became available for a new life as something completely different.

The floor material is slate and the ceiling is beadboard. Custom wine racks provide storage for over 1,000 bottles of wine. The space is conditioned, of course, with an industrial mini-split system to maintain the environment at a constant 56 degrees. The full view glass door offers a beautiful view of the interior space. Reclaimed wood from the floor of the attic in the home was used to build the table and backdrop. This cellar truly combines the old with the new.
