As a longtime member of The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), the National Home Improvement Month was originated with the backing of the US Congress. Yep, it’s a “real holiday!” “When NARI created National Home Improvement Month in 2002, we sought to celebrate and elevate the potential of home improvement,” said NARI CEO David R. Pekel, MCR, UDCP, CAPS. “As we adapt and change with the times, we’re proud that our members consistently offer the expertise and creativity to show homeowners all they can do with their homes—from small improvements to grand transformations. Especially today, we’re excited to devote this special month to showing homeowners how to turn their homes into safe havens for years to come.”
